Gilbert, former Little House on the Prairie star, has claimed irreconcilable differences in her petition to divorce fellow actor and husband, Bruce Boxleitner. According to the petition, the couple has been separated since January.
The couple shares three sons from previous marriages and one 15-year-old biological son from the time they were together. It is reported that the actors are hoping to receive joint custody of their son, Michael.
Gilbert and Boxleitner have both been successful in their careers, and Gilbert is not seeking spousal support from Boxleitner.
