As women in the workforce begin to earn more money, they are also beginning to hold more responsibility when it comes to child support and alimony payments. The study shows that in the past three years, mothers have been paying child support to their ex-husbands at a larger rate.

This increase was recognized by 56 percent of the matrimonial lawyers that participated in the study. These women are also paying spousal alimony more often than they were three years ago, according to 47 percent of the survey participants.
