The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers revealed that social networking in divorce cases is increasing at a drastic rate.
In a recent study by Divorce Online, roughly one-third of all divorces included the word “Facebook” somewhere in the paperwork. Social media has also become a topic of debate in child custody cases, and individuals use these outlets largely to prove infidelity.
Researchers found that individuals sometimes utilize Facebook to end their relationships and to also gather evidence about their former spouse to present to a judge.
